DESCRIPTION: The North Texas Performing Arts Red Carpet Film Series features local talent from across Dallas, Fort Worth, and surrounding areas! This is a fundraising event sponsored by the NTPA Film Studios Management Board and highlights the amazing work of dozens of local film professionals. The event is a 1 hour 30 short film series, including a red carpet, Filmmaker Q&A, as well as networking with some of the featured casts and crews.


Films in this series have premiered in NYC, Hollywood, and Dallas/Fort Worth. They include:

Synopsis: Lyle is the story of a friendly crocodile who turns up in a bathtub in an apartment in New York City’s Upper East Side. Lyle becomes good friends with the folks in the building, except for Mr. Grumps, who hates Lyle, parades, people, and pretty much everything. However, when Lyle rescues Mr. Grumps and his cat Loretta from a fire, Mr. Grumps has to apologize for the way he’s treated Lyle. In the end, Lyle helps those around him learn that they should not judge other by how different they appear to be, but to love people (and crocodiles) for what they are.

Synopsis: In a Berlin nightclub, as the 1920s draw to a close, a garish Master of Ceremonies welcomes the audience and assures them they will forget all their troubles at the Cabaret. With the Emcee’s bawdy songs as wry commentary, Cabaret explores the dark, heady and tumultuous life of Berlin’s natives and expatriates as Germany slowly yields to the emerging Third Reich. Cliff, a young American writer newly arrived in Berlin, is immediately taken with English singer Sally Bowles. Meanwhile, Fräulein Schneider, proprietor of Cliff and Sally’s boarding house, tentatively begins a romance with Herr Schultz, a mild-mannered fruit seller who happens to be Jewish. Musical numbers include “Willkommen,” “Cabaret,” “Don’t Tell Mama” and “Two Ladies.”

Policies of North Texas Performing Arts

Tickets are non-refundable. Tickets may be exchanged for another performance or production of the same value. All ticket exchanges must be made at least 24 hours in advance of show time. No exchanges will be granted after this time. To make an exchange, please contact the front of house coordinator for your show or email tickets@ntpa.org or call our box office at 972-853-7425. All tickets are valid up to 15 minutes past the documented show start time. Any tickets that have not been used by that point may be voided and sold to other patrons. Refunds are not available to patrons who arrive late. Patrons who arrive more than 15 minutes past the show start time may be allowed into the theatre if their seat has not been resold. Late patrons may be asked to wait until an appropriate time in the show to enter the theatre. Late patrons may also be asked to sit in a different seat than what is stated on their ticket to avoid disrupting the performance.
